Construction Budabrug in Kortrijk close to completion

The ‘Buda-bridge‘ is nearly ready for use. At this point the bridges stainless-steel railings are fitted. In the coming weeks The bridges barriers, lighting and the railing on both sides of the embankment will be fitted.

The ‘Buda-bridge’ is a movable table-bridge and part of the Seine–Schelde project designed to improve and increase the European inland shipping through Belgium and France.

The city bridges main feature are two slender, elegant, curved main beams which separate the footpaths from the main road. The bridge deck is suspended via a sophisticated network of rods. The bulging stainless steel railing articulates the generous sidewalks.
