Construction car park Albert Cuyp in Amsterdam started

23.02.2016

Beginning 2016, construction of the underground car park Albert Cuyp at the Ruysdaelkade in Amsterdam has started. The first sheet pile of the cofferdam has been placed, after which the quay structure will be removed. This then gives way to the final sheet piling on the Ruysdaelkade and Hobbemakade. Once the dam wall has been inserted, soil is dug out of the trench and carried away over water by barge. Struts are then placed. This construction of steel beams and tubes ensures the stability of the cofferdam during excavation.

The car park will be completed in 2017.
