The Eurostar UK Terminal has been awarded the prestigious International Architecture Award 2026. Commissioned by NS Stations, Eurostar and ProRail, the architects of ZJA Architects & Engineers (architect for the UK Terminal) in collaboration with Superimpose Architecture (interior architect for the passenger areas) carefully integrated the new terminal into the historic fabric of Amsterdam Central Station.
The International Architecture Awards are among the oldest and most prestigious architecture awards in the world. They are presented annually by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, in collaboration with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The opening of the new Eurostar UK Terminal at Amsterdam Central Station marks an important step in the development of international rail travel between London and Amsterdam. The new terminal provides a spacious, sustainable, high-quality and accessible border crossing in the very heart of Amsterdam.
This ‘terminal of the future’ marks a new era for cross-border rail travel, visibly bringing together different layers of history, technology, aesthetics and efficiency.
