PTT-post had plans for a huge renovation of their mail distribution system. This would require about one hundred buildings with different sizes and functions. They held a competition for the best design of these buildings. The architects ZJA won this competition. PTT-post wanted to emphasise the strength, modernity and dynamics of their company via architecture. The design, which can facilitate almost all of the desired buildings, consists of a number of specifically formed and therefore recognisable elements.
