For a crossing on business park Meerhoven, close to Eindhoven, a small tunnel has been designed.
The elliptical-shaped tunnel on the Oersebaan was kept as abstract as possible to make sure that it fits perfectly into its surroundings. On the inside the tunnel is coated with white, washable paint so graffiti does not pose a problem.
The street that crosses the tunnel on top is lowered into the slope. Because there are hardly any other additions, the whole crossing appears very tranquil, yet carefully designed and well detailled.
The architects ZJA designed a bridge in the same area.
