Architecture centre Arcam is offering a unique chance to look at the astonishing Zuidasdok project from close proximity during the exhibition 'Out of Office – Amsterdam Models on the Move’. The exhibition presents 37 maquettes of Amsterdam projects, with the maquette of the ambitious Zuidasdok as its absolute highlight.

Maquette of Zuidasdok

Zuidasdok, one of the largest infrastructure projects in the Netherlands, was designed by architectural studio ZJA, Team V Architecture and BoschSlabbers Landscape Architects. The maquette, made in 2018, shows the planned modernization and extension of Amsterdam Zuid railway station and the widening and putting into a tunnel of the A10 Zuid motorway in the heart of the Zuidas.

Green as the basis of the Zuidasdok design
A striking feature of the design of the Zuidasdok is the central role of greenery. Green space is the basis of the whole design and it harmoniously softens the infrastructure. The A10 Zuid will soon be a major highway with a clear and coherent layout. And from the modernized Amsterdam Zuid station, visitors will soon be able to enjoy a greener environment that contributes to the creation of a liveable city full of vitality.

The exhibition runs from 21 July to 10 September 2023. Don’t miss this chance to discover the future of Amsterdam and admire the inspiring architectural designs that are shaping the city.

The larger of them (at a scale of 1:500) shows the entire development of the Zuidas area, including Zuidasdok. The other represents a cutout of the new Amsterdam Zuid station and the tunnels into which the A10 Zuid will disappear.
